- A core for the MOS 6502 CPU was added, using Marat Fayzullin's engine.
- Pleiads (bootleg) was broken in 0.8 and 0.81; this version fixed it.
- The -noscanlines command-line option was made to function on games using 224x288 resolution.
- Brad Oliver, Marc Vergoossen, and Richard Davies contributed palettes for Donkey Kong Junior (US), with Marc's being added.
- Gary Walton and Simon Walls corrected the colors in Crush Roller (Kural Samno), Gingateikoku No Gyakushu, UniWar S, and possibly Moon Cresta and Moon Quasar.
- A small graphics glitch in the third level of Bomb Jack (set 2) was fixed, thanks to a report from Philip Chapman.
- A new function, decodechar(), was added in order to support runtime graphics conversion, used by games with RAM-based tiles.
