Dezaemon 2 SGM walkthrough
The two Dezaemon 2 Save Game Manager data discs requires a peculiar initialization sequence to be playable in base Dezaemon 2 (which normally has 3 sample games only). Those are 200+ user collected homebrew games.
1. Start system with:
mame saturnjp deza2sgm1 -cart bram8
or
mame saturnjp deza2sgm2 -cart bram8
2. Wait until it gets to the text based menu, then press X and swap bottom window to _1.Cartridge Memory_
3. Flip back to 3.CD drive with X button, and either select a directory or use one of the two alt methods
4. Copy one of the five slots named DEZA2___._01 to DEZA2___._05, these will go into the Dezaemon 2 actual menu slots (so five games at any time)
5. Optionally copy another game until you are done with 5 slots.
6. Issue a Tray Open, mount `dezaemn2` actual game disc, issue a Tray Close and soft reset the system.
7. In Dezaemon 2 main menu, click on System then on Load, then select the backup RAM slot
8. Select the desired game slot, then transfer ALL, confirm with yes (left option) then ok.
9. Return to main menu, then select U option under Play left tab.
10. Once done with the game, exit thru pause menu (escape). Rinse and repeat from 7 (from another backup memory slot) or start over from beginning of this walkthrough for another 5 games batch from the SGMs.
